NEW YORK Torre Lazur McCann Healthcare has formed a consumer communications group and named Jane Ames president of the unit, effective immediately, the agency said.
The appointment comes as a result of the agency’s recent direct-to-consumer account wins, including Mucinex, which treats respiratory illnesses. Mucinex is a product of Adams Respiratory Therapeutics in Chester, N.J.
Ames joined the Parsippany, N.J., agency, a division of McCann WorldGroup, owned by Interpublic Group, from Saatchi & Saatchi Consumer Healthcare, where she was an executive vice president overseeing Prilosec, Nexium and Entocort.
