American Family In-surance is searching for a media agency to handle its co-op program.
The Madison, Wis., insurer handles media buying and planning for its dealers in-house but is talking to several media buying services about taking those duties, said Jerry Pope, AFI's advertising analyst.
Pope declined to identify who he has talked to or who he is considering for the business. The review, which he stressed is informal, began several months ago.
National TV and creative is done by Milwaukee shop Blue Horse. AFI advertising uses the tagline "All your protection under one roof."
The company spends $30 million in advertising, Pope said, but he declined to disclose spending on the co-op work.
