Adams & Knight has introduced its first work for New Milford Hospital.

The shop recently won the business after a review of undisclosed agencies. Spending will likely be in the six-figure range.

The New Milford, Conn.-based client's account was previously handled on a project basis by various agencies.

"The win is nice because it's in the healthcare category and it's … advertising for a company that has a good product," said Bill Knight, agency partner at the Avon, Conn.-based shop.

Adam & Knight's first work for the hospital consists of print ads that tout the facility's $40 million one-day surgery center. The new unit features state-of-the-art equipment and hotel-like accommodations.

Executions have run in local newspapers and promoted the open houses held at the new center. Adams & Knight also designed posters for doctors' offices and the hospital, as well as a direct-mail component.

An aware ness cam paign will consist of additional print ads highlighting different features and amenities of the hospital. New executions are ex pected to break in the coming weeks. The agency is also developing a quarterly fund-raising newsletter for the New Milford Foundation.

Adams & Knight's client roster includes Hartford Hospital, the National Kidney Foundation of Connecticut, The United Way of the Capital Area, The Hartford, Data Becker Software, the Greater Hartford Open and Saint Joseph's College.
