CONNECTICUT The Kotchen Group in West Hartford has completed a national media tour with Working From Home HGTV hosts and self-employment authors, Paul and Sarah Edwards, to promote their book, Teaming Up. Chip Yates/Camera Work in Farmington has been awarded several new jobs including a holiday catalog for Yale Co-op in New Haven, a 100th anniversary commemorative book for New Haven Country Club and a series of digital illustrations for magazines and capabilities brochures issued by The Hartford. MAINE NL Partners is the newly adopted name of Nichols-Lavoie in Portland. The agency recently established a public relations department and relocated to 20 York St. The 10-year-old shop employs a staff of 20 and counts among its clients the Maine State Lottery, L.L. MASSACHUSETTS Berenson, Isham & Partners has been tapped as the first agency of record for Restrac, a technology-based human resources firm. The Boston-based direct marketing shop will help launch a new product positioned at companies that have large staffing demands. Kinder & Associates in Centerville has been hired to provide marketing and strategic planning services for Elaine Martino, a certified financial planner who specializes in college financial planning. Barrett Communications in Cambridge has been commissioned by Step Tools to develop a corporate positioning strategy. The design firm has completed a brochure for the client's flagship product, ST Developer, marketing the first in a series of projects intended to shape and project the client's corporate image. Kennedy & Co. in Boston has been retained by Healthcare Management Council, a consulting practice in Needham, to develop and implement a public relations plan. Encompass Communications in Boston has been selected to create a market positioning strategy, a tagline and corporate identity standards for InterSense in Cambridge. The emerging technology-oriented company specializes in inertial-based motion tracking systems used in simulation and training, film and broadcast special effects, digital entertainment and computer-enhanced manufacturing. Sterling Hager in Lincoln has announced the addition of five technology-based clients and plans to relocate this month to larger offices in Watertown. New clients include Computer Sentry Software in Franklin, Tenn.; London-based Dunstan Thomas; Interleaf in Waltham; The MathWorks in Natick; and Proxicom in Reston, Va. Weidler Bernstein, a medical, scientific and healthcare marketing communications agency in Cambridge, has completed two preshow mailers for Chiron Diagnostics in Norwood. The mailers will be sent to registrants for the American Association of Clinical Chemistry and the Clinical Laboratory Management Association conventions this summer. Cambridge-based FitzGerald Communications has added Atreve Software, Intelligent Environments, Pilot Software and SoftLinx to its client roster.
