KeyNext, Portland, KeyCorp's business-to-business e-commerce unit, has tapped VIA as its sole KeyGuide marketing alliance partner. The new alliance brings VIA's strategic communications and brand engineering talents to bear for KeyNext clients seeking e-business solutions from best-of-breed companies. The KeyNext program targets business clients in the $10 million to $1 billion annual revenue range whose e-business initiatives could benefit from the services of alliance partners.MASSACHUSETTS

PAN Communications, a 68-person full-service public-relations agency, has secured new business within the agency's e-business, high-technology and trade-show portfolios. New clients include Broadbase, Menlo Park, Calif.; eAutoWorld, eSportWorld and @d:techWorld, all in Richmond, Va.; and Cerida, Andover, Mass.

The Jelly, Woburn, Mass., a full-service PR firm representing companies in the Internet/technology and consumer and financial-services sectors, has announced three new clients: HomePortfolio.com, NETglobal and Altaworks.

Boston-based graphic design firm Visual Dialogue announced the following new clients: Ziba, Portland, Ore.; Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Boston; Advertising Club of Greater Boston; and Cardigan Mountain School, Canaan, N.H.

CPS Direct, a Boston-based direct- marketing communications firm, announced it has formed a senior-level advisory board to provide advice, guidance and evaluation of strategic planning for the 30-year-old agency. Board members include John Gantz, senior vice president, chief re search officer at International Data Corp.; Edward R. McNally, Jr., president and chief operating officer at Rapp Collins Worldwide; Ed Pierce, former president and chief financial officer at IDG Expo Management Co.; and Robert N. Solomon, partner at Frankfurt, Garbus, Kurnit, Klein & Selz.

Marketing Drive recently opened a Boston office. The firm develops and manages marketing campaigns for companies, including Gillette, Bacardi, BBC World, Oral B and Duracell.

The entertainment division of Tom Snyder Productions has changed its name to Soup2Nuts. The Watertown-based company provides writers, casting, audio, editing, post-production and animation to most of its productions.

Captivate Network, Westford, the digital media company that delivers targeted content and advertising to office-tower elevators, announced it has expanded and enhanced advertising capabilities for its wireless network of elevator screens. As part of the enhancement, Captivate has increased advertising space to one-third of its screens and added support for MPEG and Macromedia Flash.

R + D Advertising/Marketing, a full-service Boston-based agency, recently added two new companies to its client roster. The agency is redeveloping and redesigning the Web site for Delphi Technology, a provider of information technology to the field of risk and insurance. The Cambridge software firm specializes in providing information systems and services for the insurance industry. R + D has also begun working with Unclaimed Property Recovery & Reporting, a New York company that services the securities industry and Fortune 500 companies. R + D is designing the company's first corporate brochure and providing strategic consulting for UPR&R's trade-show and exhibit plans.

Braintree-based Groppi Communications recently completed work on two client Web sites. The advertising, design and marketing communications firm created sites for Caffe Via, Brockton, and CDF, Plymouth. Caffe Via is a new premium-coffee line produced exclusively for All Seasons Services. CDF is a manufacturer of liners, inserts and covers for intermediate bulk containers, drums and pails sold to the chemical, food, paints/coatings and lubes/ greases industries.

Devine & Pearson, a Quincy-based shop, has been selected as the advertising agency for FurnitureFan.com, a search engine available to shoppers browsing for furniture retailers and manufacturers in their local areas. FurnitureFan.com, Sudbury, is a free online service for consumers that works directly with local stores and manufacturers to create virtual showrooms, where consumers can "pre-shop" their neighborhood stores for furniture and accessories before getting into their cars.

Gray & Rice, Boston, recently added public-relation duties for Exergen's Medical Products Division and Nim-Cor to its list of clients. Watertown-based Exergen designs infrared thermometers, sensors, and scanners for medical applications. Nim-Cor, located in Nashua, N.H., designs, engineers and manufactures air shafts, air chucks and air mechanical chucks.

Kor Group, a strategic visual communications firm based at the Boston Design Center, is creating the 2001/2002 administrations materials for Emerson College and a Web site for Bryn Mawr College. Kor Group is designing the viewbooks, course catalogs and financial-aid brochures for both undergraduate and graduate programs at Emerson, a four-year college located in Boston. The agency also redesigned Bryn Mawr's Web site to make it a powerful student-recruitment tool. By reorganizing the site's navigation and architecture, Kor Group has created a new image that reflects the unique educational experience at Bryn Mawr, a women's liberal-arts college located on Philadelphia's Main Line.

Glen Group, North Conway, has added three new clients to its roster for Web-site design and marketing-plan development. The Telluride Foundation of Telluride, Colo., and Hewins/Carlson Wagonlit Travel of Portland, Maine, hired Glen Group to design new Web sites. For Carrabassett Valley Academy, a ski school in Carrabassett Valley, Maine, Glen Group will produce a branding and marketing campaign.

The tracey/edwards advertising group, in Boston and Manchester, N.H., has created a new theme ("This Is Living") for Com pany C's 2001 catalog of handcrafted rugs. Company C's handmade rugs incorporate colorful and whimsical designs, but they don't cross the line into ultra-contemporary.

Vital & Ryze Advertising, Manchester, is set to give the Blue Seals Feeds product line a new look. The new package designs will build on 126 years of brand equity by introducing verbal positioning and visual enhancement to establish an interesting balance of tradition and design that appeals to today's feed consumers.
