Rockport has unveiled an advertising campaign portraying a hipper image and in-troducing its redesigned footwear. The campaign, created by AG Worldwide, New York, includes black-and-white print ads that depict bare feet being massaged and nuzzled by naked young men and women. There will also be outdoor posters, a redesigned Web site and TV spots. The Marlboro, Mass.-based unit of Reebok
International will spend approximately $3 million on ads for the remainder of the year.
GN Marketing & Creative Services, New York, has added the $3-5 million ad ac-count of Openpages, Westford, Mass., a maker of business software.
New York-based Frierson Mee + Kraft's new Paris office, opened about a month ago to better serve international clients and to grow new European-based businesses, has picked up two new accounts. The Paris office was awarded global creative on Esprit Fragrance from Lancaster, after a review of undisclosed agencies, and was named agency of record for Champagne Mumm's worldwide account, following a review of mostly Paris shops, including Bates, BDDP & Fils and Colorado. Combined billings are estimated at $45 million. The Esprit print and outdoor campaign is expected to launch in Europe and Asia in the fourth quarter of this year and in the U.S. in 2001. The new office currently employs six people, but will probably expand in the fall, according to the agency.
Verizon has unveiled a nationwide multimedia campaign designed to familiarize consumers with the company's new name. The Lord Group, New York, Burrell Communications, Chicago, Temerlin McClain, Irving, Texas, and La Agencia de Orci, Los Angeles, all contributed to the push, while Zenith Media, New York, handled most of the buying chores. The ads have no tagline; one spot features two images of pitchman James Earl Jones that eventually merge into one. Verizon was formed following Bell Atlantic's buyout of GTE.
Pisarkiewicz Mazur & Co, a New York consultancy, has been assigned branding duties for ION Networks, a developer and manufacturer of software and hardware solutions for monitoring and managing voice- and data-network infrastructure. PM & Co will handle all branding and corporate identity for the client, which is headquartered in Piscataway, N.J.
Richartz Fliss Clark & Pope, a New York-based marketing-communications firm, has been retained by the Grenada Board of Tourism to help create, manage and execute public relations, advertising and sales-promotions programs for Grenada throughout the U.S. and Canada. The agency will work with the tourism board to establish Grenada as the destination of choice in the Eastern Caribbean. The media-intensive campaign's purpose is to familiarize consumers with Grenada's range of properties and diversity of natural attractions and activities.
Media Logic, a marketing, advertising and public relations firm in Albany, won three honors for its work for MVP Health Plan at the 17th annual Healthcare Ad-vertising Awards Competition, sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. The agency received a gold medal for the Administrative Services Only project in the Direct Mail Advertising category, a bronze medal for the Open Enrollment Promotion in the Total Advertising category and a merit award for its work on joinMVP.com in the Web Site category. Media Logic also collected 10 awards at the 27th annual NORI Awards held by the Ad Club of Northeastern N.Y. Winning work included projects for clients Trans World Entertainment, Fortitech, Road Runner Pro, which is Time Warner Cable's business Internet-access service, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Posner Advertising, a New York marketing agency, has won four Manhattan residential real estate accounts. The agency was hired to develop and implement a marketing program for 500 sponsor-owned apartments of CPW Towers. The apartments are in the Park West Village complex, located at 372-400 Central Park West. JEMB Realty Corp. has hired Posner for a marketing and advertising campaign to reintroduce the McAlpin House at 34th Street in Herald Square as Herald Towers. The Moinian Group selected Posner to develop a comprehensive marketing and advertising program for the rental development Ocean, at 1 West St. The building's top 15 floors have been converted from commercial to residential use. Working closely with The Marketing Directors, Ocean's marketing and exclusive leasing agent, Posner created all marketing materials, including a logo, brochures, sales-office displays, and a print and
Internet-advertising campaign. Partners Capital Real Estate and Fisher Bros. retained Posner to introduce the Chartwell House, a new, 154-unit condominium-apartment tower, with a marketing and advertising campaign.
Oink Ink Radio, an audio ad agency in New York and Hollywood, Calif., was a finalist in the 2000 Radio Mercury Awards for two of its radio spots. The commercials, created for the TV show Jeopardy, are titled "Trash Talkin' " and "Traffic." The agency also won the 2000 Promax Gold Award for "Traffic."

Ritta & Associates in Englewood has been hired by Englewood Hospital and Medical Center to launch The Heart and Vascular Institute of New Jersey. EHMC was recently licensed by the State of New Jersey to perform cardiac surgery. To introduce the institute to consumers and referring physicians, the agency has created a new integrated, brand-building campaign that includes print, broadcast and outdoor advertising, direct marketing, and collateral.

Philadelphia-based Elkman/Alexander & Partners has been selected as the marketing-communications agency for Shuster Educational Enterprises, which is about to launch SongPower for reading, a parent-child interactive reading program. Elkman/Alexander will direct all aspects of the launch of SongPower for reading, beginning in the Philadelphia market.
The campaign will coincide with back-to-school and run through the end of this year. The agency has created print and direct mail advertising, coordinated materials production, and identified and contracted with telemarketing and fulfillment companies.
Bynums Advertising Service, a Pittsburgh advertising, marketing, graphic design and public relations agency, was a finalist in the Public Relations Advertising and Marketing Excellence Awards in Philadelphia. The agency was recognized for its direct mail campaign created for the MCC Center.
