- COLORADO Columbine JDS Systems, Denver, a provider of technology solutions for the advertising buying/selling process within electronic media markets, acquired Adcognito of Montreal, an ad agency solutions provider in Quebec, Canada. - HAWAII StarrTech Interactive in Honolulu, a division of Starr Seigle Communications, was selected by Castle Resorts & Hotels to develop its newly revised Web site. Milici Valenti Ng Pack, Honolulu, has been awarded the advertising contract of the island of Lana'i. The agency will spearhead the advertising and marketing efforts of the island's resort real estate. - NEVADA The Rose/Glenn Group opened a new office in downtown Reno. Separately, the Reno Gazette-Journal named Rose/Glenn as its agency. Healthcare industry marketer Envision Advertising & Marketing in Reno has picked up two new accounts: Forms Management Data Systems, a provider of software systems to independent business forms distributors, and Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop, Calif. - NORTHERN CALIFORNIA The Good Guys, San Francisco, eliminated its internal advertising production department and is outsourcing its day-to-day advertising operations to local shop Team Design. Law.com, a destination Web site for those in the legal profession, and Impact!, a professional placement agency serving Silicon Valley, both selected Fineman Associates Public Relations in San Francisco as their agency. Janis Brown & Associates, Escondido, was named agency for The RREEF Funds Maplewood Mall. Piazzo in Santa Ana Heights created a Web site to launch the latest new home community from Regis Homes. Kratz & Jensen's San Francisco office was named public relations agency for Williams-Sonoma and Noah's Bagels. The Corsi Agency of San Francisco has acquired Carter Israel Advertising & Public Relations, an independent Silicon Valley agency. - OREGON Creative Co., a marketing communications agency and design firm in Salem, was presented with a first-place award for video packaging from the Portland Club Gallery of Superb Printing. Leopold Ketel & Partners, a full-service marketing agency in Portland, was selected as agency for the Oregon Coast Aquarium and for Town & Country Dealerships. Global Services Network, Portland, chose JohnsonSheen Advertising as agency for its Polestar one-number service. SPC Advertising, with offices in Portland and Eugene, was hired by Portland-based Regent Assisted Living to provide communications services. Great Northern Wines has tapped Bradshaw Advertising, Portland, as its ad agency. Bradshaw will develop a national campaign for the Portland-based wine importer. - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Internet Stock News selected Drasnin Communications in San Diego to oversee a national public relations campaign. The Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center appointed the Gardner/Holm Agency as its marketing consulting firm. RiechesBaird Advertising, Public Relations and e-Business in Irvine was selected by the Orange County High School of the Arts to provide services. MC Direct, a direct marketing company, moved into its new $5.5 million corporate headquarters in San Diego. Dutch Myers, an ad photographer, opened a new location in Los Angeles. The Blaze Co. in Venice was retained as counsel by Del Webb Corp., a builder of active adult communities. Mobley Marketing Communications, Los Angeles, produced a campaign of full-page images featuring styles from La Blanca's Summer 2000 line to run in the April, May and June issues of InStyle. Santa Monica-based business-to-business marketing agency The Young Co. was selected in the new-business run-off for Los Angeles County's second-largest software company, Candle Corp. of El Segundo. The company competed against FCB Worldwide. Forecast Homes, a development firm with divisions throughout California and Arizona, awarded Nelson & Gilmore the advertising account for its Inland Valley Empire and San Diego County Communities. The Redondo Beach-based agency is now Forecast Homes' exclusive Southern California representative. Santa Monica-based direct response agency Century DR is developing a second infomercial campaign for Warner Home Video. Separately, the agency's parent company, Century Media, has formed Century-e.com, a strategic marketing company specializing in e-commerce and e-solutions. Mustang Marketing and Advertising in Westlake Village completed a millennium brochure for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Potter/Katz Advertising and Marketing, North Hollywood, landed advertising duties for Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions of Simi Valley. The agency will handle all of the client's advertising materials, including print ads, literature and trade show support. Oinke.com, an interactive, real-time business-to-business auction Web site that matches borrowers with lenders, selected The Gable Group, Irvine, as its public relations agency. Hauser Advertising, Beverly Hills, has created a campaign for NetCurrents, a San Francisco-based business-to-business Internet trading service, that focuses on the branding slogan "The premier Internet intelligence agency." The Lockheed Federal Credit Union retained Boyd Communications, Los Angeles, to develop and implement an image and identity program. - UTAH Integrated Marketing Group, a branding agency in Salt Lake City, launched its new Web site at www.imgbranding.com.
