The agency was also chosen by Vitalcast.com to develop a corporate identity package, collateral materials and advertising to promote its new Web site and alternative healthcare network. Fort Lauderdale's wwdb advertising has merged with Falkanger Smith Advertising. The new entity will retain the former agency's name and address. The Boner Group in Palm Beach has acquired the advertising and public relations account of NursesNetwork.com, a Web site designed and produced by nurses specifically for nurses. Hallmark/Tassone in Tampa has launched a new conservation campaign for Peoples Gases, a TECO Energy Company. Print, outdoor and broadcast will be based around TECO Energy's corporate brand image and positioning line, "Run with us." Teasdale Enterprises of Arts and Media has doubled its office space by acquiring adjoining facilities in the corporate center of Carrollwood Crossings in Tampa. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has elected J. Ernest Brady to a three-year term on its board of directors. Brady is president and chief executive officer of Group Direct in Deerfield Beach. GEORGIA Easter Seals has commissioned EM2 to develop images that will help define its national Easter Seals Child Development Centers program. The Atlanta agency's efforts are designed to attract the attention of corporations and government agencies. Jackson Spalding has won the public relations account of Delta Air Lines' relationship marketing department and the Delta SkyMiles program. The Atlanta shop won a competitive review against several undisclosed agencies. Adair-Greene Healthcare Communications has been chosen to handle the introduction of a new estrogen replacement patch called Vivelle-Dot. The product was developed and manufactured by Noven Pharmaceuticals of East Hanover, N.J. MARYLAND Rosse & Associates in Sparks was recently designated the agency of record for both Matech Ammunition Company and Militec Inc. The former is located in Las Vegas; the latter in Waldorf. Crosby Marketing Communications in Annapolis was recognized for outstanding work in three awards competitions: the 50th annual show of the Art Directors Club of metropolitan Washington; the 1999 Axiem Awards for Absolute Excellence in Electronic Media; and the 1999 Best in Maryland Awards for the state's public relations society. NORTH CAROLINA Two Greensboro agencies, Bouvier Kelly and Broach Cain, teamed up in the inaugural Tug-a-Plane competition at Piedmont International Airport, pulling a 113,500 pound 757 Boeing 25 feet across the runway. The event raised more than $15,000 for the United Way. Bouvier Kelly chief executive officer Louis Bouvier Jr. is the outgoing communications chairman for the charitable organization; Broach Cain creative director Allen Broach is the incoming chairman. Hodges Associates and the Prizm Group have merged. The food industry specialists will now be known as Hodges-Prizm, with offices in Fayetteville and Blue Bell, Pa. Charlotte brand and product development firm Bolt won a pair of 1999 Good Design Awards from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. The award-winning product designs are the Labscan XE for Huner Associates Laboratory and the Escel biopsy forceps for Wiltek. Lippi & Company has added several new accounts, the majority involving Internet and technology applications. Lynnfield, Mass.-based e-commerce site Clever Cat, which provides gift certificates through national and local retailers, has hired the Charlotte agency to create a logo, brand identity and marketing materials through online and traditional media venues. The other clients, all based in Charlotte, that contracted the shop are: Internet marketing firm Neworld Solutions, which has named Lippi agency of record; Midgard Information Systems, a developer of warehouse management software; InfoVision, a technology solutions provider; real estate company Berolina; Sonitrol Security Systems; and Summit Training & Development. Total billings amount to just under $1 million. SOUTH CAROLINA Brandon Advertising in Myrtle Beach won prizes at the third district Addy Awards for a self-promotion and Ripley's Aquarium and Barefoot Landing campaigns. TENNESSEE Notch/Bradley in Chattanooga has acquired four new clients. Kansas City, Kan.-based 3buddies.com markets online obstetrics products. SouthCoast Medical Group, Savannah, Ga., is a managed care provider. Tift General Hospital, Tifton, Ga., serves South Georgia. Chattanooga's Women's Surgery Center and Women's Diagnostic Center are part of Nashville's Women's Health Affiliates network of specialty clinics. VIRGINIA Martin Public Relations has launched the Web site Newsdesk at www.martinpr.com. The venue is a source of information about the Richmond company's clients. Thurston Chapman & Associates in Richmond has been named a 1999 Virginia Technology Fast 50 company by Deloitte & Touche, which annually recognizes the 50 fastest-growing technology companies. MSI in Richmond hosted a dinner benefitting the city's Meals on Wheels, with Food Network chef Jack McDavid. Opus Marketing is changing its name to Play. The change signifies the Richmond agency's evolution from event marketing specialist to a creative agency. Cortani & Morrison Advertising & Public Relations has won the consumer advertising account of KONI North America, a manufacturer of shock absorbers based in Hebron, Ky. The agency is located in Virginia Beach. Twelve anti-drug messages are appearing on Richmond buses, courtesy of a collaboration between nonprofit groups Art 180 and Weed & Seed of Richmond. WEST VIRGINIA Arnold Communications in Charleston was named a national finalist in two 1999 Silver Microphone Award categories. The "Heard It Through the Bovine" jingle for the West Virginia State Fair was nominated in the entertainment category; the other was a healthcare nomination for a campaign it produced for Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston. WASHINGTON, D.C. Abramson Labus VanDeVelde has been hired to provide advertising and public relations services for the Insurance Marketplace Standards Association.
