Dircks Associates, St. James, has secured a contract with fedamerica.com, an online publisher that provides updates for active and retired federal employees on pay, benefits, retirement planning, insurance, Medicare, Social Security, etc. Dircks is responsible for developing the site's new corporate identity, Web site and marketing materials.
The Leading Hotels of the World, New York, has launched Leading Marketing Services, a joint venture with Orlando, Fla.-based Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown, a marketing agency specializing in the travel and hospitality industries. The enterprise creates a full-service marketing, advertising and public relations firm specializing in communications programs targeted at affluent travelers.
Harquin Graphics, Pelham, won three awards at this year's "Big W" awards competition held by the Advertising Club of Westchester. The firm won a silver award in the "Corporate Brochure" category for the design of the LogNet sales kit for LogNet, which it collaborated on with GMG Public Relations in Harrison. Harquin won a bronze award for the design of the Utilisave brochure for Utilisave LLC.
AdOutlet, a Web-based application-service provider in New York, was cited by Forbes.com in its recent "Best of the Web" issue as having one of the top business-to-business Web sites. The company was recognized in the magazine's Media & Advertising category.
Guarino Woodman, a full-service advertising agency in New York, has been chosen as the national agency to represent Poultryfirst.com, an auction service designed to save money and time for both sellers and purchasers of poultry products. Guarino Woodman has created trade ads for the client. The launch ad features a two-page teaser with a picture of an egg and copy that reads, "Cluck, cluck," and a third page where the egg turns into a computer mouse and copy reads, "Click!" The campaign includes direct mail, collateral material and a multimedia trade-show booth.
823 Communications, a marketing-communications agency in New York, has been appointed by the Games and Puzzles division of Mattel to launch two of its newest games, Chatter Matters and Thinkblot, with national publicity campaigns to kick off this summer.
Hey!, a multidisciplinary design and production studio in New York, served as agency and production company for The Hearst Group, New York, to create a pair of vignettes for Wagner Spraytech, Minneap-olis. They recently began airing on Lifetime Television adjacent to Wagner's regular commercials. The vignettes direct viewers to the Wagner "Magic Makeover" contest featured in the August issues of Country Living and Good Housekeeping and encourage them to enter by logging onto lifetimetv.com/wallmagic to win $5,000 worth of room makeovers. Hey!'s vignettes directly complement Wagner's existing commercials for the Wall Magic product.

New York-based Digital studio Spontaneous Combustion, working directly for Estee Lauder, designed, directed, produced and edited a 30-second commercial promoting EstEe Lauder's news skin refinisher, Idealist. The spot debuted this month in California and New York and rolled out in local markets nationwide.
Renegade Marketing Group, New York, has been tapped by cPulse, a Gartner Group company in New York that monitors Internet customer satisfaction, as its advertising agency. Renegade Marketing Group will launch the client's first national ad campaign in August. The cPulse campaign will feature both offline and online components. Two different print ads will be published in a split run of American Demographics magazine, each ad containing a different URL address for cPulse. Click-throughs and new customers acquired from each address will be tabulated to determine which ad is the most productive. The campaign's rollout will be tailored based on this response.

Condom manufacturer Ansell Healthcare, Red Bank, and its advertising agency, SSD&W, in Montville, won two advertising awards for their ad campaign for the Lifestyles(R) condom brand. The campaign was tagged, "Haven't gotten any in awhile?" Mediaweek magazine awarded Ansell and SSD&W the 2000 Mediaweek Media Plan of the Year, in the category of Best Use of Radio, for Lifestyles' sponsorship of the two-minute warning on the WBCN/New England Patriots Radio Network during the New England Patriots games. The Lifestyles.com Web site received a Silver Summit creative award in the Digital Media category for Web Site--Consumer Informational.
Princeton Partners, an integrated marketing-communications firm in Princeton, won six awards at the New Jersey Ad Club's 32nd annual Jersey Awards. The firm received first-place awards for the following: its TV spot for Carlesta, in the Single Spot, Institutional category; its public-service multimedia campaign for the New Jersey Department of Health and Human Services in the Public Service category; and its electronic advertisement for PSE&G in the Web Site Advertising, Institutional category. The company also won second-place awards for its annual report for Delta Dental NJ in the Collateral/All Printed Materials Annual Report category, and its video annual report for Atlantic Health Systems in the Collateral/All Printed Materials (Specialty-Advertising) category. Princeton Partners received the Certificate of Merit for its newspaper ad for Atlantic Health Systems in the Full Color Newspaper, Any Size category.
Winning Strategies Advertising, Mt. Laurel, has been selected by NJ Transit to assist in the planning, development and execution of strategies to help promote bus, rail and light-rail ridership and increase revenue. The contract began July 1 and will be in effect for three years.
