The Boulder-based advertising firm works with clients including Keebler, Ryder Truck, Hewlett Packard and Quaker Oats. MusicHotBid.com, an online auction site, retained Carl Thompson Associates to launch a national public relations program. The Louisville-based firm also completed 1999 annual reports for Pancho's Mexican Buffet in Fort Worth, Texas, and for Isco in Lincoln, Neb. - NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Weber Public Relations Worldwide, a unit of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup, has launched a 15-person practice for technology firms that target consumer markets. Red Whistle Communications in San Francisco opens with clients including Pete's Coffee, software firms Flycast and GeoWorks and Fox Interactive. San Francisco-based marketing and communications firm Browne Zukow Associates has expanded its creative capabilities by forming an in-house affiliation with Hunt Weber Clark Associates, a full-service design/marketing firm. Los Angeles-based Rogers & Associates, a provider of strategic communications, public relations and public affairs counsel, has opened a Sacramento office. - OREGON Salem-based Creative Co., a branding, marketing communications and graphic design firm, added a Beaverton-based cat-food developer, a gourmet cookie baker in Tualatin and a local area federal credit union to its roster. - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA The DuPuis Group helped Taste of Nature re-introduce its Cookie Dough Bites. The Los Angeles-based marketing and design firm specializes in client-to-customer connections for the worldwide operations of Mattel, Nestlƒ, Baskin-Robbins, Keebler, Dole Foods, Hewlett-Packard, Bausch & Lomb and others companies. Bailey/Gardiner Creative Communications, San Diego, added two technology accounts to its roster. The shop will manage public relations for High Technology Solutions, a San Diego-based information technology company, and for WordCruncher Internet Technologies, an online information company based in Salt Lake City. N.A.D.A. Appraisal Guides, publisher of appraisal guides for used vehicles, appointed RBI Communications in Hollywood its marketing and public relations agency. Farmer John (Clougherty Packing Co.), a California packer of fresh pork and pork products, selected Los Angeles-based interactive agency O'Grady Meyers to design its new database-driven, recipe-focused Web site. Nuffer, Smith, Tucker, a strategic, problem-solving and marketing communications company headquartered in San Diego, was retained by The Museum of Making Music and JoeFixit.com.
