William Cronin, president of Glastonbury-based Cronin & Co., has received a commendation from Connecticut Gov. John Rowland for his commitment to ending child abuse. Cronin serves on the Children›s Trust Fund Council. In 1998, his agency formed Partnership to Prevent Child Abuse, the state›s first effort linking public and private sectors to educate communities about child-abuse prevention. The Partnership was selected by the national Prevent Child Abuse America organization and the Advertising Council of America to lead their national prevention campaign.
KGA Advertising, Middletown, has been given the Outstanding Support Award by the Connecticut Mentoring Partnership of the state Drugs Don›t Work program, in recognition of the shop›s work on its ad campaign.
