ARIZONA Folsom & Co. in Phoenix has created a water conservation campaign for the city of Mesa. NEVADA The Nevada Mining Association named the Rose/Glenn Group in Reno its advertising and public relations agency of record. The Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno and Harveys Resort Hotel/Casino in Lake Tahoe both selected Trahan, Burden & Charles Advertising and Public Relations in Reno as their advertising agency of record. OREGON Cole & Weber in Portland was selected to handle ad duties on the national KSJA scuba diving account. Collective Incorporated, a Portland-based full-service print and online design group, has developed identity and collateral programs for Mazama Capital Management and Anomaly Incorporated. The shop also completed the first of several planned Downtown Portland Season Sampler direct mail pieces for the Association for Portland Progress. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA L. Norman Howe & Associates, a Los Angeles-based marketing firm, created a "Free Shopping Day" promotion for Longs Drug Stores outlets in Colorado. J2 Marketing Services in Brea added two new accounts: American IC Exchange in Aliso Viejo and Cablescan in Orange. Tudor Publishing Co. hired The Townsend Agency in San Diego to provide public relations, marketing and advertising work for the company and its educational software products. Apollo Communications in Irvine was hired by CMS Peripherals in Costa Mesa to promote its line of notebook PC hard drive solutions. Target Media Worldwide, New York, has joined forces with Ad-Star Publishing Technologies, Marina del Rey, in a sales and marketing initiative targeting classified recruitment advertising. Cox Communications in Orange County has chosen Shafer Advertising and Public Relations, with offices in Irvine and San Francisco, as agency of record for its Cox Business Services division. Del Webb's California Corp. hired The Weston Group in Los Angeles to handle advertising, creative and media strategies for its Sun City Palm Desert master planned active adult community. LMA North America in La Jolla named Koppes & Partners Advertising in Irvine its agency of record. Greenlight Communications in Newport Beach has formed an alliance with The Gartner Group, a research firm based in Stamford, Conn. Novocom in Los Angeles created a new logo and graphics package for Caracol Television S.A., a Bogota, Colombia-based broadcasting company. Acento Advertising in Los Angeles was hired by Health Net to handle its new Healthy Families Program for the Hispanic market in California. Rogers & Associates, a public relations and communications firm in Los Angeles, was hired to help launch Seattle-based Washington Mutual in California. Seattle-based Autobistro retained Morgan Marketing & Public Relations in Irvine to conduct a comprehensive public relations campaign for the launch of its drive-through restaurant concept in Newport Beach. The Bohle Co., Los Angeles, signed four new clients: Silicon Graphics, Mountain View Calif.; CyberOffice Technologies, San Diego; Three/Five Systems, Tempe, Ariz.; and Lightware, Beaverton, Ore. Fuel Design and Production in Santa Monica collaborated with Avenue Edit in Chicago on visuals for Chicago-based Ogilvy & Mather's "Sears Days" campaign. WASHINGTON Weber Marketing Group, a Seattle-based marketing communications agency, was chosen to handle various brand development, sales collateral and advertising assignments for AT&T Wireless Services and Lenders Interactive Online Network. Think New Ideas in Seattle was hired by Signature Resorts in San Mateo, Calif., as marketing and communications company of record.
