Personnel Services in Wichita Falls recently received first-place recognition in a national competition for a radio campaign created by DesignWorks Group, also located in Wichita Falls. The honor was conferred at the Staffing Industry Communications Awards. Virtually Anywhere, Austin, has developed a virtual reality football tour for the University of Texas Longhorns. Bates Churchill received nine best of Texas Lantern Awards and 10 citations of excellence at the Business Marketing Association's presentation ceremony in Houston. Bates Churchill, a unit of Bates Southwest in Houston, also earned a special judge's award for work completed for Coral Energy and the best of Houston prize for its efforts on behalf of Veritas DGC.Texas-New Mexico Power Company has selected logocenter.com in Arlington to support its rebranding program with the tagline "Show our new colors." The agency created various material featuring the new red and yellow motif, which debuted in a recent company fashion show.McGill & Associates, Dallas, has won the contract to handle advertising for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit system, following a local review.Lisa Adelle Design, Dallas, is ranked 147 in Inc. magazine's recent listing of the 500 fastest-growing, privately held companies. Ad agency The McCarthy Companies has been recognized by the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University as one of the fastest-growing, privately held companies in the Dallas metroplex. Founded in 1994, the agency has projected billings of $30 million for 2001; $9 million in new business was added in the fourth quarter of last year. McCarthy specializes in the retail automotive sector.Murray Brown Creative Group, Fort Worth, has been selected by The Pour House to implement a marketing program for the downtown sports grill. Murray Brown will develop a repositioning campaign that will combine advertising, design and public relations.The Texas Department of Transportation received top honors from the National Commission Against Drunk Driving in Washington, D.C., for its "Photos in about an hour" campaign. Sherry Matthews Advertising & Public Relations, Austin, created the campaign, which was designed to discourage students on spring break from drinking and driving. Both the client and agency are located in Fort Worth.Groves Rojas Emerson has relocated to new offices in San Antonio.Fort Worth-based Market Relations has expanded its international client base with the addition of Teracom Components of Horby, Sweden.
