The Bedford shop will coordinate national broadcast and print advertising, public relations and other marketing services. Dallas-based technology specialist SCA Technologies Corp. has also contracted Hill to handle its national public relations program.

BrannForbes, Dallas, has been selected agency of record for restaurant and entertainment chain Dave & Buster's Inc., which is also located in Dallas.

Regnier, Valdez & Associates, San Antonio, has been awarded a 2000 Gold Quill Award of Excellence by the International Association of Business Communicators. The IABC award recognized the company's work for its own corporate image program, which included an updated logo and new sales materials.

Admarc Southwest, Lubbock, won second place in the Commercial Fleet Graphics Contest, sponsored by the National Private Truck Council and Commercial Carrier Journal. The Phillips Agency won first place in the self-standing disposable floor display category at the packaging exposition held at the 26th annual International Hardware Show in Chicago. The award was presented for the Houston shop's shipper displays for garden products manufacturer Easy Gardener, Waco.

The Quest Business Agency, Houston, has created a new name and corporate image for Pointsmith, a point-of-purchase display company formerly known as Posters Inc. The agency has also created a new logo and brand system for oilfield logistics company ASCO.

Austin advertising agency r.j. kolar has changed its name to Kolar and has introduced a new logo.

Locke Bryan Productions, Houston, has produced three 60-second commercials for the local grocery chain Fiesta Mart. The spots feature Houston chefs Russell Cody of Anthony's restaurant and Tony Mandola of The Gulf Coast Kitchen and Blue Oyster Bar.

James Coney Island, a hot dog fast-food chain based in Houston, received awards for best TV ad campaign for restaurants with sales under $100 million and for best use of humor at the Multi-Unit Food Service Operators Conference in Atlanta. The television spots were created by BRSG, Houston, and produced by Cool Films, also Houston. An award-winning outdoor campaign was produced in-house.

Whole Wheat Creative has added Stewart Title Guaranty Co. as a client. It will develop both advertising and collateral for the title insurance company. Both the client and the agency are based in Houston.

Orion Access Control Systems has selected Market Relations, Fort Worth, to handle a business expansion in the North Texas area. The company supplies controlled-access systems for multi-family, gated- community and commercial properties.

Stan Richards and the employees of The Richards Group, Dallas, will receive the American Jewish Congress Torch of Conscience award in recognition of their distinguished community service to residents of the Dallas metroplex.

2-Infinity has hired Bates Churchill Investor Relations and Bates Churchill Public Relations, both Houston, to develop a communications program for the publicly traded company's financial audiences and media. The International Festivals and Events Association gave Main St. Fort Worth eight Pinnacle awards at its annual trade show and conference in New Orleans. The honors included two gold for best event program and best Web site.

Commercial filmmaker Terry McCollough Productions, Dallas, recently completed an internal corporate film for New York-based Verizon Communications, as well as a promotional program for Dallas' newly renovated Republic Center.

Murray/Brown Creative Group, Fort Worth, has been selected by Alliance, a Houston-based firm representing manufacturers in the plumbing industry, to implement a corporate communications campaign. The agency will develop a regional direct mail program for the client.

Edmondson/Quest Business Group, Austin, has created a new print ad for 3M's corrosion protection products division. The ad shows a cartoon monster who is unable to rampage through a city as usual due to 3M's reinforcing fibers and coatings on roadways, bridges and tunnels.

GroupBaronet has added three new clients. The Dallas agency will develop an Internet strategy and Web site for AVW AudioVisual; create collateral for Edelman Pubic Relations Worldwide-Dallas; and assist in the market launch of technology firm Epremis. GroupBaronet has also been tapped to create additional Internet sites in Chinese and German for existing client Motorola.

Ward Communications, Dallas, has been retained to handle media planning and buying duties for Schlotzsky's Deli, DFW Co-op. Schlotzsky's is headquartered in Austin.
