ARIZONA ConSyGen, a company dealing in automated software and year 2000 conversion services, has hired Phoenix-based E.B. Lane and Associates. The agency has begun developing a series of national print ads that will appear in The Wall Street Journal and other publications. COLORADO Karsh & Hagan Communications in Denver has been named agency of record for the Denver Museum of Natural History and has begun work on the client's 1998 marketing campaign. NEVADA Sportif recently named En Vision Advertising and Marketing in Reno as its agency of record. En Vision will handle public relations management of national strategic communications and media relations for the company and its new line of outdoor apparel. NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Pandesic Company hired Addis Group in Berkeley to create its corporate identity. The agency's experience creating package designs, corporate identities, brand names and Web sites comes through work for Intel, The Learning Company, Berkeley Systems, Pepsi, Clorox, Dole, Kraft, Sara Lee, Preview Travel and Gordon Biersch. OREGON Numetrix has selected Portland-based Karakas VanSickle Ouellette Advertising and Public Relations to develop its integrated new media campaign, including a Web site, CD-ROM and multimedia presentation. Perpetual Promotion in Portland has been selected by Portland Brewing to help coordinate the company's "Official Microbrew" sponsorship of the Nike World Master Games during the summer of 1998. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Rag Dog, Los Angeles, has retained Ruben/Rottman & Co., also in Los Angeles, to handle public relations. Rag Dog produces a canine fashion line that includes rain ponchos, denim jackets, overcoats, hats, travel bags and backpacks. Creamer Dickson Basford in Irvine has been selected to handle public relations for Newport Beach-based Infocon America, which offers electronic publishing software services. Hilary Kaye Associates in Newport Beach has added International House of Pancakes, based in Glendale, to its client list. Pioneer New Media Technologies in Long Beach has appointed Roberts, Mealer & Co. in Santa Ana as its public relations counsel. San Diego-based Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger has been selected by City National Corporation to provide public relations and investor relations services for the company's City National Bank and City National Investments offices throughout Southern California. Lewis & Associates in Los Angeles has been named public relations counsel for Pasadena-based AgriGator, which manufactures a new soil additive that enhances crop yields and reduces soil erosion. The Jones Agency in Palm Springs has been awarded advertising duties for the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, after a review that included five finalists. The Blaze Company in Los Angeles has been retained by L'Ermitage Beverly Hills. The agency will implement a grand-opening campaign for the new luxury hotel, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 1998 after four years of extensive redesign and renovation. Roni Hicks & Associates in San Diego has been retained by PETCO, a retail chain of premium pet food and supply stores, to provide national marketing communications services. The San Diego Regional Technology Alliance, a nonprofit corporation that manages federal and state technology assistance grants for investment in San Diego businesses and projects, has retained Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger in San Diego to develop and execute a public relations plan. Los Angeles-based Adlink has developed a strategic arrangement between A&E Television, Ralphs Grocery Company, Pillsbury and the Southern California Volvo Dealers Association. The joint marketing effort will promote Ralphs 125th Anniversary, A&E's Biography program, the new Ralphs Club Card Program and the new 1998 Volvo V70 Wagon. UTAH Penna Powers Cutting & Haynes, a Salt Lake City-based advertising and public relations agency, has been hired to provide public relations services for CONNECTronix, a provider of networking and connectivity solutions. WASHINGTON Parallel Communications in Redmond has been selected as agency of record for Bellevue-based ImageX, an online resource for companies' printing needs. The Leonhardt Group in Seattle has completed an electronic commerce Web site, corporate identity program and national advertising campaign for West Stock, also in Seattle. Voice, a new advertising agency in Seattle, has been awarded the SunDog account. The shop will handle all brand advertising, packaging and public relations for the equipment and sport bag brand.
