LOS ANGELES At least six contenders have advanced to the semifinal round in the review for Sony Electronics' $100-125 million ad business, according to sources.

Moving ahead are Publicis Groupe agencies Leo Burnett in Chicago and Fallon in Minneapolis, as well as a team that includes executives from Team One in El Segundo, Calif., and Saatchi & Saatchi in New York; Havas' Arnold in Boston and McKinney + Silver in Raleigh, N.C.; and Omnicom Group's BBDO in New York, sources said.

The client split with the incumbent, WPP Group's Young & Rubicam in Irvine, Calif., in February.

The search is being managed by Select Resources International in Santa Monica, Calif.

The consultant and client were not immediately available for comment. Agency executives declined comment.
