Oklahoma Shop Promotes Lipson, Coleman to Top Posts in Irving
DALLAS–Ackerman McQueen of Oklahoma City last week reached into its creative ranks to name senior vice president and creative director David Lipson as the new managing director of its Irving, Texas, office.
Lipson, 31, succeeds outgoing executive vice president Tom Millweard, who begins his tenure today as chief operating officer at Barkley Evergreen & Partners in Kansas City, Mo.
The agency also promoted Irving-based management supervisor Chris Coleman, 37, to the post of executive vice president and corporate director of brand planning across the four-office network.
Coleman will succeed executive vice president Deborah Johnson, whose duties are being shifted full time behind the blossoming Premier Parks account.
The $150 million agency is looking to generate edgy, even “controversial” work through Lipson, chairman and president Angus McQueen said last week.
“He’s our most aggressive and irreverent person in the agency,” said McQueen.
