Six agencies including the incumbent have responded to requests for proposals from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism for its $4 million ad account.
The contenders, all located in Wisconsin, are Laughlin/Constable in Milwaukee, which has had the account since 1987; BVK/McDonald in Glendale; Advertising, Boelter & Lincoln and Meyer & Wallis, both in Milwaukee; William Eisner & Associates in Hales Corners; and Stephan & Brady in Madison.
The state-mandated review has been held every three years, with L/C last retaining the business in 1996. This year's contract will run for five years, according to Krista Elias, public relations manager for the department.
A decision is expected by the end of May. --Trevor Jensen
