DALLAS Looking to hire its fourth agency in five years, 7-Eleven has chosen six shops to compete for creative chores on its $30 million ad account, according to sources.

The contenders are: MDC Partners’ Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners and Publicis Groupe’s The Kaplan Thaler Group, both in New York; independent RPA in Santa Monica, Calif.; and three Dallas-area agencies: Publicis in Mid-America, Interpublic Group’s TM Advertising and incumbent TracyLocke, an Omnicom Group shop, sources said.

Those agencies were chosen following 18 responses to the client’s RFP, sources said.
