A confident and record-setting crowd of 1,300 gathered at the 11th annual American Association of Advertising Agencies Media Conference, which took place at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel on March 2-4. They explored ways to use media’s new role as strategic power player in the ad industry, and learned about “Broadening the Communications Mix,” the theme of this year’s meeting. The event featured Comcast CEO Brian Roberts celebrating the arrival of convergence, and Carat America CEO David Verklin exhorting the assembly that “the crackle of change” is in the air.
