Contact lens marketer 1-800-Contacts has selected finalists for the creative and media planning portions of its estimated $18 million ad business.
The remaining shops are D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles here; Rubin Postaer and Associates in Santa Monica, Calif.; and New York shops Gotham and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners. Final presentations are set for early March. Select Resources International, Los Angeles, is handling the search.
Creative work is handled in-house. Media That Works, Cincinnati, retains media buying duties.
The Draper, Utah-based client is a direct distributor of contact lenses via telephone and its Web site. It reported more than $70 million in sales in 1998.
