NEW YORK--The four agencies that made final presentations last week to Allied Domecq Spirits executives for the $15 million Sauza tequila account are: Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco; Modernista!, Boston, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Miami and dRush in New York, according to sources.
The incumbent, Bates USA, did not defend the business.
Avery Schmeisser, marketing director of Sauza, would not comment other than to say a decision is imminent. One source said the list of contenders had been narrowed to two finalists.
According to CMR, the Westport, Conn.-based client spent $8 million on advertising in 2000.
