CHICAGO WMS Gaming, a maker of slot machines and other gaming equipment, is in the final stages of a review for its advertising account, a company official confirmed.
Competing for the business are independent agencies Hadrian's Wall, Hoffman York, Marc and LKH&S, all in Chicago, according to a client executive. The agencies will make final presentations shortly, and the account will be awarded soon thereafter.
Originally a maker of pinball machines, WMS has turned its focus to lottery terminals and video slot machines, including models using licenses from Monopoly and Hollywood Squares.
The company had sales of more than $388 million last year, according to its annual report. Its previous agency was Robert Brandt in Chicago.
Billings on the account were not disclosed. The company had minimal recorded ad spending last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
