NEW YORK WPP Group’s Mediaedge:cia was awarded the media planning and buying account of film studio DreamWorks SKG without a review, sources said.

According to TNS Media Intelligence, DreamWorks spent $270 million on domestic measured media in 2005.

The incumbent was Omnicom Group’s GSD&M in Austin, Texas.

DreamWorks was acquired by Paramount as the year began. Mediaedge:cia took over the $550 million Paramount media account in January 2005.

Agency and client officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
