ATLANTA-Essilor of America has placed the $15 million consumer portion of its Varilux lenses account into review and is considering shops in Atlanta, Texas and New York. Thirteen agencies have been asked to present credentials.
The incumbent on the business is the St. George Group in Pittsburgh, sources said. The agency did not return calls.
The 13 being considered are: Adair Greene Advertising, Austin Kelley Advertising, BBDO South, Fitzgerald & Co., J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather and WestWayne, all in Atlanta; DDB, Publicis and The Richards Group, all in Dallas; Temerlin McClain in Irving, Texas; Jordan, McGrath, Case & Partners/Euro RSCG and D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, both in New York, sources said.
The review is being conducted by The Kane Consulting Group in Atlanta.
