Y&R's Mitchell Caplan Heads to McCann

Mitchell Caplan, chief marketing officer for WPP’s Young & Rubicam Brands and its namesake ad unit, is assuming the same role at Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson North America.

Caplan, 49, is expected to start the job this summer, with the timing of his exit from Y&R still under discussion, sources said.
 
In his newly created position, Caplan will be based in New York and report to Robert LePlae, the McCann N.A. president based in in San Francisco.
