NEW YORK WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam has landed global creative duties on Bacardi rums, the client has confirmed. Y&R was selected after a review involving three other agencies, sources said. Estimated billings are $160 million.

The other finalists, all incumbents, were Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson in London and New York; Publicis Groupe’s Fallon in London and Minneapolis; and davidandgoliath, a Los Angeles independent that handles Bacardi business in the U.S., sources said. (McCann and Fallon also handle other non-rum brands in the Bacardi & Co.
