Wunderman Cato Johnson will sever its decade-long relationship with Apple Computer due to conflicts with new client Sony Electronics, possibly opening the door to a review, sources said.
WCJ landed the $10-15 million direct marketing task this month when Sony consolidated its PC account at sister agency Young & Rubicam here.
“Sony will allow us to showcase our creative focus and integrate it with the advertising [from Y&R],” said Julio Deulofeu, WCJ president.
Under interim CEO Steve Jobs, Apple has slashed its direct budget to less than $2 million and boosted brand ads.
