Wieser Leaves Interpublic for Simulmedia

Brian Wieser, Interpublic Group’s top forecaster, has left to become CMO at targeted TV ad service Simulmedia, the companies confirmed today.

Wieser joined IPG in 2003 and held the top researcher post at IPG’s MagnaGlobal for two years. By comparison, his predecessor, Bob Coen, held the role for 60 years.

In addition to confirming Wieser’s move, the two companies said they would do joint research exploring the effectiveness of using behavioral data to target audiences for TV ads.

Before joining IPG Wieser was a Wall Street analyst.
