Speculation about the departure of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners creative director Icaro Doria has ended. The group cd, who worked on HP and Sprint during the last nine months at the Omnicom shop, is returning to his native Brazil to open Wieden + Kennedy’s eighth office on Dec. 1.
Doria (pictured), who becomes ecd at the independent’s new Sao Paulo agency, is teaming up with Andre Gustavo Soares, account services director at Publicis Groupe’s F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi in Sao Paulo for the past three years.
