WB.com Taps 'LonelyGirl' Star

NEW YORK The WB.com has picked up an online horror series starring Jessica "LonelyGirl15" Rose (shown at right).

Blood Cell, from 60Frames Entertainment, is an 18-Webisode series featuring Rose, best known for the 2006 Internet sensation that made the LonelyGirl15 alias known throughout the Web.

In Cell, a young woman must race against the clock to stop a sadistic madman after receiving a disturbing late-night phone call from a friend in danger. No premiere date has been set.

The project, first announced last year, was written and directed by Eduardo Rodriguez and produced by Jeremy Bell.

60Frames has launched numerous original series through its syndication network and is producing MTV's Private High Musical pilot, which also is based on an online series. Rose recently had a recurring role on ABC Family's Greek.
