NEW YORK Visa USA is poised to hire Sheppardson Stern + Kaminsky to provide youth marketing insights, sources said.

A representative for the New York agency declined to comment, but Visa confirmed the company had reviewed agencies for the assignment.

“It’s not connected to advertising,” said Visa rep Michael Rolnick, adding that the project in no way affects the San Francisco-based client’s relationship with Omnicom Group’s BBDO in New York, which has handled Visa’s $300 million U.S.
