Tick tock. Tick tock. Frustrated iPhone users have been waiting and waiting for Apple to give them another carrier option other than AT&T. The time has finally come. The new Verizon iPhone hits stores next month and the company began running a commercial last night that thanks its customers for their patience. The ad shows clock after clock chronicling the passage of time in a variety of settings as brief close-ups of feet and finger tapping capture the human anticipation of the product arrival. Not that anyone who is in the market for a Verizon iPhone needs to hear the news that it’s finally here from the ad, but everyone appreciates a thank you every once in a while. Now, with both AT&T and Verizon banking on iPhones to help them win the battle for wireless market share, the question is what will AT&T do? Thank its customers for putting up with the spotty service all this time? After so much dissatisfaction, the thank you may have been better served coming from AT&T.
