Turkish Airlines Highlights Flights to Gotham City and Metropolis in Super Bowl Pregame Ads

Clever promos from 'airline partner' of Batman v Superman

Bruce Wayne flies Turkish Airlines and wants you to as well.

Those tuning in to CBS' Super Bowl pregame coverage probably noticed some interesting new destinations being advertised by Turkish Airlines.

As presenting sponsor of part of the pregame show, the airline used its time in the spotlight to feature another media partnership: its role as "official airline partner" of the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie.

(UPDATE: The spots were created by Crispin Porter + Bogusky London. See below for more info from the agency.)

One ad features faux flights to Gotham City, where billionaire Bruce Wayne (played by Ben Affleck) helps explain why "there's never been a better time to visit our great city."

In a spot dedicated to luring travelers to a newly rebuilt Metropolis, we see Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) touting his company's generous contributions to its home city:

The ads are part of a larger campaign being produced by CP+B London to create the illusion of Gotham City and Metropolis as real tourist destinations:

"The campaign plays on the fact the airline flies to more countries than any other in the world, by launching two new iconic destinations: Gotham City and Metropolis," the agency said in a statement.

The ads were edited by Superman v. Batman director Zack Snyder and will roll out globally on Feb. 19.

CP+B says there will also be "a 120-page Time Out guide to Metropolis and Gotham, complete with detailed maps and restaurant reviews—available for sale to fans via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, WH Smith's and major airports around the world."
