DETROIT – Toyota Motor Sales USA has appointed Jim Lentz to vice president of marketing, replacing Steve Sturm who moves over to the automaker’s Toyota Logistics Services unit.

Lentz, currently vice president of Scion, Toyota’s new youth-oriented vehicle line, will be responsible for the Toyota Division’s market planning, advertising, merchandising, sales promotion, incentives and Internet activities. He retains his Scion duties and will continue to report to Don Esmond, senior vice president and general manager of the Toyota Division.
