Time Inc. Creates New Sales Division

Another day, another reorg under Time Inc.’s new CEO Jack Griffin.
 
With this one, the company created a new division that combines corporate sales and marketing and digital corporate sales.
 
Corporate sales exec Leslie Picard was named to lead it; while Kirk McDonald, who was her online counterpart as president of Time Inc. digital corporate sales, is out in the shuffle. The company offered the proverbial explanation that he was leaving to pursue other opportunities.
 
Paul Caine, who recently was named the company’s new chief revenue officer, announced the creation of the Branded Solutions unit. “Our new Time Inc. Branded Solutions unit will better address marketplace needs and work even more effectively within our company’s internal structure,” he said in a statement.

In earlier big moves, Griffin split off Time magazine into its own News Group; created a new marketing group; and named a new chief digital officer.
