LOS ANGELES Nike’s Jordan division has named Jackie Thomas director of marketing, the company said.

In her new role, Thomas, 39, will oversee all aspects of marketing for Jordan footwear, apparel and accessories, including Air Jordan. She will also be responsible for utilizing Team Jordan, a group of athletes selected by Michael Jordan to represent the brand.

Thomas reports to Jordan president Larry Miller. She fills a post that has been vacant since former marketing director Greg Johnson departed in December 2002 to become a minister on the staff of Mt.
