Pfizer has appointed TBWA\China to handle the advertising and communications business for its top selling Centrum multivitamin brand in that market.

The agency was selected after a four-way pitch with Leo Burnett, DMG and another undisclosed local boutique agency.

In the four years since the U.S. company launched in China, its penetration has increased steadily.

Centrum sells its product in 29 cities across China and holds the top position for market share in 16 cities. In 2008, it reached more than $200 million in gross annual sales.
