Taxi N.Y. Finds a New President

Fills vacancy left by September exit of Barnhill

The New York office of Taxi has filled its president's post.

Assuming the role is David Jenkins, who most recently was chief integration officer at Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners in New York. He joined Kirshenbaum nearly four years ago after a stint at McCann Erickson.

Earlier in his career, Jenkins held new business and account management roles at the New York offices of TBWA\Chiat\Day and Bartle Bogle Hegarty. His brand experience ranges from Kmart and Orbitz.com to Miller Lite, Staples and Weight Watchers.

At Taxi, Jenkins, 44, will oversee an office of about 25 staffers who work on accounts such as Gevalia coffee, MiO water flavoring and Capital One.

The president's post had been vacant since the September exit of Durk Barnhill, who became CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi New York. Taxi's global CEO, Rob Guenette, has run the office since then.

"David brings the right mix of strong creative agency pedigree and leadership credentials," Guenette said in a statement. "His career history meshes perfectly with Taxi's continued focus [on] and growth of integrated and digital capabilities."

The hire of Jenkins completes a recent leadership makeover at the New York agency. Frank Sanni became head of planning in September, a month after Caroline Krediet left to work at a consultancy, and in October, creative directors Michael Pierantozzi and Stephen Leps rose to co-ecds after the exit of ecd Dave Clemans.
