Yo quiero social media. Yum! Brands’ Taco Bell said it has tapped Interpublic Group’s R/GA as its lead digital shop for chores that include a Web-site revamp and digital relationship-marketing efforts.

R/GA’s office in San Francisco will lead the business with help from the office in New York. The assignment was awarded following a review, and the client had no previous lead digital agency. The budget was not disclosed.

Lyle Swart, senior manager of brand communications at Taco Bell, said: “With a reputation for executing groundbreaking ideas, R/GA is the ideal choice to help grow our business and enhance our digital presence.”

R/GA CEO, CCO Bob Greenberg said his shop’s background in youth-marketing and emerging platforms makes the agency an ideal fit for Taco Bell, which is striving to connect with younger consumers via digital outreach.
