Stonyfield Farm is reviewing the creative portion of its advertising account, sources said.

Stonyfield’s current creative shop, five-person eFlicks Media, Boston, is defending, according to a representative at the agency, who declined to give further details.

The organic-yogurt company has heard presentations from a number of shops, and sources said a decision is expected by February.

Carat Freeman, Newton, Mass., recently added Stonyfield media chores from Cleveland Communications, Boston.

The Londonderry, N.H.-based client spent $1 million on measured media in 1999 but upped its budget to nearly $2 million in each of the past two years, per CMR, and may spend as much as $3 million this year, sources said.

That increased emphasis on advertising is driving the review, sources said, combined with the client’s belief that it can now attract seasoned regional contenders to pitch its relatively modest account.
