Though stocks have rallied since their early-2009 swoon (which came atop their 2008 swoon), this has done little to change people’s unease about equities. In Associated Press/GfK polling this month, 52 percent said now is a “bad time to invest in the stock market,” vs. 41 percent saying it’s a “good time.” The “good time” figure is just slightly above the 38 percent recorded last October. There’s been more of a shift in the number saying it’s a good time to invest in real estate, which now stands at 70 percent — up from 53 percent last October.
