State Farm said today it has signed an exclusive multiyear deal with Cal Ripken Jr. under which the baseball Hall of Famer will appear in marketing efforts and the insurance company will support the former player’s various youth baseball initiatives. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ripken, who worked with the insurance firm during the 2008 All-Star Game to help promote the State Farm Home Run Derby, initially will support State Farm’s sponsorship of National Teen Driver Safety Week, Oct.
