NEW YORK -- Sirius Satellite Radio has shifted its estimated $100 million advertising account from Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco to McCann-Erickson in New York after the latter agency recently presented creative ideas to the client.

For the past year, Sirius has been working with MRM Partners, a division of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup in New York on direct response advertising and relationship marketing, opening the door for a presentation by McCann-Erickson.

MRM will continue to handle direct marketing duties, its WorldGroup sibling Momentum will work on event marketing and Weber Shandwick in New York and Los Angeles will handle PR.

In a statement, Philip Pilla, Sirius' v p of consumer marketing, said, "Sirius is synchronizing its marketing communications efforts by consolidating work with McCann-Erickson WorldGroup. With its creativity, entertainment experience and seamless agency integration, the McCann team will help make Sirius one of the most powerful consumer brands in the country."

Based in New York, Sirius provides digital audio entertainment in the continental U.S.

Goodby's media services arm, OMD, continues to handle Sirius' media buying duties.
