Sears Holding Corp. has named Don Hamblen, CMO and vp for the struggling Sears division, effective immediately. Hamblen, who was promoted from within, was formerly vp-marketing and planning.

In his new role, Hamblen reports to Richard Gerstein who is svp at Sears Holdings, according to a rep. Hamblen fills a vacancy that was created when Gerstein rose to replace Sears Holdings CMO Maureen McGuire in August.

This is just the latest of many changes at Sears under chairman Edward Lampert.
