HAMBURG - Scholz & Friends/Frankfurt has successfully defended its $23-million Peter Stuyvesant tobacco account against Springer & Jacoby and BMZ. After the loss of BMW, it would have been fatal for the agency to lose yet another blue chip account. According to insiders, Scholz & Friends did not have much of a chance of retaining the tobacco account before Jurgen Scholz was asked by the agency's management board to meet with the client.
