Despite a raging debate in the online advertising world over whether ad networks are good or bad for the industry, Web publishers are selling a much larger proportion on their inventory via networks than in recent years, according to a new report issued by The Interactive Advertising Bureau and the consulting firm Bain & Company.

The report claims that online publishers sold 30 percent of their ad inventory through various ad networks in 2007, up 25 percentage points from the 5 percent sold through networks in 2006.
