Julius Genachowski is President-elect Barack Obama’s pick to run the Federal Communications Commission, according to several reports citing inside sources. The appointment has neither been officially made nor confirmed.

A former Harvard Law School classmate of Obama’s, Genachowski served as Obama’s technology adviser. His FCC experience includes serving as the former chief counsel for former FCC Chairman Reed Hundt and a legal aide to former FCC chairman Bill Kennard when Kennard served as general counsel of the FCC.
