RDW Welcomes Media, Interactive Chiefs

BOSTON Bolstering its senior management team, independent RDW Group has installed Steve Hall as media director and Dennis Franczak as vice president of interactive services.

Hall had most recently overseen new business for small Boston shop BlackSheep Marketing. He has also held media and account service posts at agencies such as TFA/Leo Burnett, Harpell and Bozell.

Franczak spent the past two years overseeing interactive efforts and serving as chief information officer at Benes Brand Imaging in Lexington, Mass.

They respectively replace Mitch Scholar and Paula Buckley, who have left the agency.

The hires "fundamentally strengthen our agency in this economic lull so that we are better positioned" when a rebound begins, said agency president Mike Doyle.

Providence, R.I.-based RDW saw its revenue and billings each rise about 12 percent to approximately $12 million and $82 million in 2002. The shop ranks among the region's largest agencies, working for clients such as A.T. Cross, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of R.I. and the American Stock Exchange.
