Rapp Names a New Global CEO

Alexei Orlov succeeds Bob Horvath

Orlov comes from Volkswagen Group.

Rapp is getting a new global CEO.

Volkswagen Group's Alexei Orlov will assume the role in July, reporting to Dale Adams, Chairman and CEO of Omnicom Group's Diversified Agency Services, the holding company said today. Orlov most recently was as chief marketing officer for Volkswagen's China region.

"Alexei brings nearly three decades of experience as a global specialist in brand architecture, cross-cultural marketing deployment and operational change management," said Adams, in a statement.

The new chief succeeds Bob Horvath, who had held the position since 2008. Horvath will continue as global chairman of the direct marketing shop.

Before Volkswagen, Orlov was a senior partner at Interpublic Group's The Partnership, supporting Draftfcb in Europe while managing accounts like BAT and Future Capital Partners. Earlier in his career, Orlov held a number of roles at Wunderman, including vice chairman.

Rapp's accounts include Pepsi, Nestlé, Disney, Bacardi, Pfizer, Toyota and Time Warner Cable.
